Ukrainian American Community Center

The Ukrainian American Community Center of Minnesota (UACCMN) is a comprehensive cultural and community organization serving Minneapolis, MN and the broader Twin Cities region. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the organization delivers extensive programming across multiple service areas including youth and cultural development, refugee support and integration, family services, and community events. The UACCMN operates the Ukrainian-American Youth Association (CYM) and the Cheremosh Ukrainian Folk Dance Ensemble, while also coordinating Ukrainian choral and musical groups that celebrate the region's rich heritage. The organization hosts signature annual events including the Ukrainian Festival of Minnesota, International Holiday Festival, Pysanka Festival and Easter Bazaar, and Lenten Fish Fry, attracting thousands of community members. Beyond cultural programming, the UACCMN provides critical refugee services including family resource navigation, long-term care workforce development, family education support, and English language programming. In 2023 alone, the organization served 1,000 refugees and raised $7 million in humanitarian aid for Ukraine. The center maintains a dedicated team of specialists including refugee program coordinators, family resource connectors, career development specialists, and family education mentors. With 40 events organized annually and serving approximately 20,000 Minnesotans of Ukrainian descent, the UACCMN stands as a vital cultural hub and essential support system for newly arrived families and established community members throughout Minneapolis and Minnesota.
