Returned Peace Corps Volunteers’ Alliance for Ukraine

The Returned Peace Corps Volunteers' Alliance for Ukraine (RPCV-AUA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Washington, DC that connects returned Peace Corps volunteers dedicated to supporting Ukraine's development and resilience. As an official affiliate of the National Peace Corps Association (NPCA), the organization channels the collective expertise and commitment of Peace Corps alumni toward meaningful humanitarian and community-building initiatives.

The alliance operates through three strategic pillars—community, information, and impact—to empower an international network of people, agencies, and organizations working toward a self-determined and globally-connected Ukraine. The organization implements this mission through several key programs and initiatives. The Peremoha Mini-Grants program fuels grassroots projects across Ukraine, supporting local organizations and returnee-led efforts that address critical community needs. Additionally, the Cookbook for a Cause initiative combines cultural engagement with fundraising to support Ukraine. The Hands Heart for Ukraine campaign mobilizes volunteers and donors to contribute to urgent humanitarian assistance.

Based in Washington, DC, the RPCV-AUA welcomes all members of the Peace Corps community to participate in committees, share their stories, and engage in advocacy work. Membership is free and open to anyone who shares the organization's commitment to Peace Corps ideals. The organization is entirely volunteer-run, ensuring that donations directly support critical work in Ukraine rather than administrative overhead.
